Before contributing for the first time...

Before contributing to the NCLOR for the first time, you should keep the following in mind:

Copyright Issues

  1. NEVER upload content to the NCLOR in which you do not have the copyright or the expressed permission of the copyright owner. (For more information on copywright, refer to the Copyright Tab section of this tutorial.)
  2. If you make your item live in a collection, it will be available to anyone who has access to that collection.

Aspects of a Good Contribution

  1. There is an expectation of professionalism from all faculty members using the resource. Keep contributions focused directly on your institution's curriculum.
  2. All items should be reviewed for grammar and content before submission.

File Format & Technical Information

  1. You may upload almost any type of internet native file into the NCLOR, however, there are file types (BAT, COM, EXE, SCR, SHS, VOB & VBS) which are banned from the NCLOR for security and practical reasons.
  2. When uploading files that require a software plug-in in order to view the item, be sure to document the specifics in the Technical Requirements field of the Basic Info Tab. (For more information on Technical Requirements, refer to the Basic Info Tab section of this tutorial.)
